1. LESSON DETAILS
Lessons are for English tuition provided. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
2. TUTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The tutor agrees to prepare and deliver lessons with care and professionalism, providing quality learning experiences, however, Simply English in Paris does not guarantee any specific results, grades, or outcomes.
3. STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Students must ensure where applicable that they have a reliable internet connection, suitable device, and a quiet environment for lessons.
The tutor is not responsible for connection problems, audio/video issues, or interruptions on the student’s side.
Students are expected to arrive on time. Lessons lost due to lateness will not be extended or refunded.
4. PAYMENTS
Payments are made via the website, bank transfer or cash before each lesson. For lesson blocks, payment must be made before the first lesson in the block.
No refunds are available for completed or unused lessons once payment has been made.
Gift card balances are non refundable.
5. CANCELLATIONS
Students must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. If the tutor needs to cancel, an alternative date will be suggested, or payment carried forward to reduce future billing.
6. CONFIDENTIALITY
Both tutor and student agree to keep personal information and lesson content private.
The tutor will not share the student’s personal details or lesson materials without consent, unless required by law.
7. LIABILITY
The tutor is not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from lesson cancellations, technical failures, or internet issues.
8. NO REFUNDS
Payments are non-refundable once lessons or lesson blocks have been paid for, except where the tutor cancels and no alternative can be found.
9. DISPUTES
In the event of a disagreement, both parties agree to communicate in good faith to resolve the matter amicably.
If unresolved, French law will apply and any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of Paris, France.
10. ELECTRONIC ACCEPTANCE
By confirming acceptance by email, message, or by making payment for lessons, the student acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Tutoring Agreement. Under Article 1366 of the French Civil Code, electronic consent has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
11. AGREEMENT
By booking lessons with Simply English in Paris, the student agrees to all terms in this Tutoring Agreement.
